Top Review:
“This is an exact perfect replacement for the stock central cross which comes with the Parrot AR Drone 2.0. It includes a replacement plastic for the bottom of your drone, and all knew plastics on each of the 4 arms.
Be for warned that that replacing the central cross is both a time consuming and delicate process. You should not undertake this project unless you’re really good in tearing down and building delicate products. I’ve done the repair on two drones so my second time was faster but first run through I spent around 2 hours on the project.
To do the install you need to everything that’s bolted on to the old central cross. This includes the props, motors and controllers. You have to gently peel off the black plastic cover on the bottom and remove a few of the electrical connections and remove the circuit boards. Be especially careful when lifting off the main board as there is very little slack in the cable and you can easily end up tearing out the connector socket from the main board itself which happened to me my first time out, resulting in having to buy a replacement ma inboard in addition to the central cross expense. Though once everything was back together it was looking and working just as new again. I also replaced any props or gears / shafts as necessary and made sure they all spun easily.
Bottom line is this is an exact replacement part, though find someone else to do it unless you are really good at fixing things on your own. I’m giving the product one star do to lack of good documentation from Parrot themselves on completing the repair.”
